Liffey Walk
The Liffey Walk is a peaceful and aesthetically invigorating walk along Clane’s section of the river Liffey. The walk is a favourite among both residents and visitors, and consists of a 3km there and back walk through the scenic Clane countryside. Wildlife fans are recommended to take the walk in the evening, as the air is filled with the sight and sound of bats. The Liffey Walk starts at Alexandra Manor, Clane.
Donadea Forest Park
Donadea Forest Park is a stunning nature park located 6km north of Clane. This beautiful and expansive park contains approximately 243 hectares of mixed woodland and historical features such as the remains of a castle, church, tower, walled gardens and an ice-house. Donadea Forest Park is a great place to take the whole family, and perfect for picnics!
Millicent Golf Club
The Millicent Golf Club is Co. Kildare’s premier golf course, and is suitable for both beginners and more experienced golfers. The course contains lush greens and very well maintained fairways and bunkers. The river Liffey runs along part of the course, offering golfers stunning views of the river and surrounding countryside. The course is located on the Millicent Road, Clane.
Clane Farmers’ Market
The Clane Farmers’ Market takes place on every Saturday from 10am-3pm at McKenna’s Hardware. It's a great opportunity to taste some of the wonderful local produce, and there are also fun activities for the kids.
