Fleadh Cheoil 2017 Details

As many of you will know, Clane has been chosen as the location for the Fleadh Cheoil Chill Dara 2017 which will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Clane Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann.
The festival will kick off this Wednesday (17th) and run through to Sunday evening (21st), with a host of great activities, festivities, and, of course, plenty of music! We’ve got an itinerary of the events below, and there really is something for everyone. We’d encourage all our readers to get out and take part in the action!
Fleadh Cheoil Events
Wednesday 17th May.
11am. Coffee morning as Gaeilge in the Oak Bar of the Westgrove Hotel Clane
7pm. History Walk of Clane with Brendan Cullen. Meet at
Thursday 18th May.
8pm. Launch of Fleadh Cheoil Chill Dara by Lucina Russell Arts Officer Kildare County Council in Clane G.A.A. Upstairs Lounge.
Friday 19th May
9.30pm. Set Dancing Céilí in Clane GAA Club. Music by The Johnny Reidy Céili Band. Fear
Saturday 20th May.
6.30pm Aifreann Traidisiúnta in St Patrick and St Bridget’s Church, Clane.
7.30pm Youth Session in Clane GAA Upstairs Lounge 7.30 – 9.00p.m. led by Co Board Youth Officer Ciarán Mac Gearailt.
9pm. Singing Session in Main Bar, everybody welcome.
